Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of e-comic on elementary school students' critical mathematical thinking skills in mathematics subjects. This is a quantitative study using a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The variables in this study are e-comic as the independent variable and critical mathematical thinking skills as the dependent variable. The population of this study consists of fourth-grade elementary school students in Cirebon Regency during the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique, with a total of 120 respondents. Data collection techniques included tests and questionnaires. The results of the study show that there is an effect of the e-comic media on students' critical mathematical thinking skills, as indicated by a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.561. The regression coefficient of the independent variable was positive at 0.612. This indicates that if the independent variable increases, the dependent variable also increases, and vice versa. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of e-comic is quite effective in enhancing students' critical mathematical thinking skills and has a significant impact.
